O Emmy 2013 entregou neste domingo os prêmios para os melhores programaS da televisão americana. A série Breaking Bad foi a grande vencedora da noite e levou o troféu de melhor série dramática.

Modern Family ganhou o prêmio de melhor série cômica, e The Voice como o melhor reality show de competição. A surpresa da noite foi a premiação de Jeff Daniels como melhor ator em série dramática, por seu papel em The Newsroom, superando Bryan Cranston (de Breaking Bad) e Kevin Spacey (de House of Cards). Claire Danes recebeu o troféu de melhor atriz em série dramática pela segunda vez consecutiva, por sua atuação em Homeland.

Jim Parsons, ator principal de The Big Bang Theory, ganhou seu terceiro troféu de melhor ator em série cômica, e Julia Louis Dreyfus venceu a versão feminina do prêmio, por Veep.
